Hi Roger, I'm an American online bookseller & Farnol lover. My Lady Caprice is not that rare and can be found for between $10.00 & $20.00 on ABE.books and similar bookselling sites. Amazon's prices can sometimes be very inflated because the know-nothing seller may have the only copy listed on Amazon so he thinks he has a rare book & charges an outrageous price without checking other book sites. Here's an example from ABE:

My Lady Caprice

Book Description: Dodd, Mead & Company, New York, 1907. Decorative Cloth. Book Condition: Very Good+. No Jacket. Charlotte Weber Ditzler (illustrator). Octavo. Slight rubbing to extremities of spine & corners; externally & internally clean, bright & sound; gilt-decorated front cover & interior designs by Theodore H. Hapgood.

In fact, I bought my copy from a seller on ABE. However, if your copy is in near fine condition with the gilt intact and the Ditzler color illustrations it may be worth more. I saw one very nice copy for $65.00 on ABE.
